Each child follows a learning plan built around their needs, confidence and understanding. We review progress regularly and only move children on when they are ready, helping them build secure skills without being rushed.

Our English programme develops confident readers, writers and communicators through Montessori language materials, UK curriculum progression and mastery-based teaching.
Children build skills in phonics, grammar, handwriting, spelling, comprehension, vocabulary and creative writing through hands-on learning, structured practice, spiral review and meaningful written expression.
Our Maths programme builds strong foundations through Montessori materials, Singapore-style mastery, Chinese-style fluency and UK curriculum progression.
Children develop number confidence, reasoning, problem-solving and accuracy through hands-on learning, visual models, spiral review and carefully structured practice.
Our 11 Plus programme is tailored to each child’s desired schools, whether grammar or independent. Preparation may include Maths, English, verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, comprehension, creative writing and exam technique.

At Acorns Learning Centre, the monthly fee includes a one-hour session per week for each subject. Sessions can take place during any of our scheduled times on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays, offering flexibility to fit your family’s schedule.
For students studying two subjects in one day, we offer 45-minute sessions for each subject, with a 15-minute break in between. This structure ensures the learning remains engaging and manageable, allowing students to stay focused and make the most of their time with us.

We encourage home-based learning to reinforce what’s taught in sessions.
Homework is short and varied—online tasks, handwriting, and reading—taking just 15–30 minutes a day. This daily practice helps build confidence, fluency, and long-term understanding.
